Welcome and thank you for your interest in Regional Aid for Interim Needs, Inc. (R.A.I.N.), a premier senior service organization established in 1964 by our visionary Founder, Mrs. Beatrice Castiglia-Catullo. Its mission is to enhance the well-being and quality of life for all New Yorkers by meeting the interim needs of people of all ages. We offer a Continuum of Care that includes a range of services for seniors and those with disabilities. Our quality services include: full-service neighborhood senior centers, home-delivered meals, transportation services, assistance with benefits and entitlements, case management and elder abuse services, in addition to community-based mobile meals for homeless and hungry persons. Today, our mission remains the same.
R.A.I.N. has grown since its inception into an extensive not-for profit multi-service organization network, serving residents of The Bronx and Upper Manhattan. We operate multiple Senior Centers and key support programs that provide nutritional, transportation, and care management needs to seniors.
We at R.A.I.N. firmly believe in the provision of quality and culturally relevant services to our seniors and their caregivers, and thankful of the opportunity to be a resource in a time of need. R.A.I.N. is focused on the integration of care delivery and being a partner in the New York State Health Prevention Agenda.
Our board of directors, staff, volunteers, and community partners are committed in a true partnership that fosters a robust service delivery model of care. We recognize the many challenges facing the elderly these days, and confident you will find a service that best meets your needs as you navigate our website.
It’s a family affair at R.A.I.N., so whether you are a senior or caregiver, we trust that you will enjoy learning more about how R.A.I.N. can serve you or your loved one.
